The role- Lead the public affairs work to achieve significant change for some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.
- Affect government policy and the debate in parliament by building relationships with ministers, parliamentarians and across Whitehall, as well as partners and coalitions.
- Manage two Policy Officers and a Parliamentary Assistant, ensuring work across public affairs and policy is maximised.
- Successful experience in public affairs with a natural instinct for how to bring about change.
- A leader who can direct the team, pick up the evidence for the development of policy and influence effectively.
- Demonstrable experience of building successful relationships across parliament and Whitehall, together with the robustness to engage with senior external decision makers and senior colleagues.
