Job DescriptionThe Outpatient Pharmacy service is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 8pm, and Saturdays from 8:30am to 2:30pm. We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist with excellent organisational and communication skills to provide a first‑class pharmacy service and work as a Responsible Pharmacist within our Outpatient Pharmacy for bank shifts.
What You’ll Do- Abide by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) standards of conduct, ethics and performance as well as professional, ethical and legal obligations
- Ensure the Outpatient Clinical Pharmacy service is patient focused, responsive and appropriate and upholds the professional image of the department
- Work in the Outpatient pharmacy, undertaking responsibilities required of a Responsible Pharmacist including legal, efficient and accurate medicine dispensing and appropriate clinical checks
- Provide appropriate counselling and information to patients regarding their medicines
- Provide professional leadership in the pharmacy, ensuring practice aligns with the latest Medicines, Ethics and Practice guidelines issued by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and GPhC
- Address individual patient needs and resolve issues as they arise
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Experience leading teams and managing a pharmacy as a Responsible Pharmacist
- Flexibility to work variable shifts between 8:30am‑8pm, weekends and evenings
- Excellent team working and communication skills
- Clinical and hospital experience desirable
