Veterinary Specialist in Pain Management

Key Responsibilities

Typical Services you will be delivering:

  • Multidisciplinary Pain Assessments and Pain Consultations.
  • Acupuncture clinics
Clinical Excellence

As a Pain Management Clinician you will:

  • Provide clinical and professional pain consultations for clients and their pets, ensuring a seamless and memorable journey at every touchpoint.
  • Participate in a unique and engaging pet wellness journey.
  • Develop and implement Tailored Pain Management Plans.
  • Provide clients with expert and comprehensive pain advice and education in a clear, friendly and expert manner.
  • Prepare, organise, and deliver pet-related documentation with precision and care.
  • Deliver follow up appointments and reassessments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and ensure a welcoming, home‑like environment.
  • Participate in delivering pain management‑based learning for in‑house colleagues and contribute to internal and external CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events.
  • Fulfill CPD requirements in line with the recommendations of your governing body, tailored to both personal and business development needs.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Wellness advisers (RVN), Veterinary Physiotherapists specialising in small animals (ACPAT Cat A and/or RAMP), Canine Hydro therapists, Groomers and Veterinary Behaviourists.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • MRCVS with interest or further qualifications in pain management.
  • Experience of pain clinics 2 to 3 years.
  • Acupuncture training.
  • RCVS/ECVAA specialist with experience of pain clinics (desirable)
