PA Administrator Refugee Therapy Centre

Accountable to: Operational Manager
Working Hours: Full time but job share will be considered
Salary scale: £16,000 – £24,000 based on skills and experience (inclusive of London weighting)
Working Days: Tuesday to Saturday, 9am – 6pm, Wednesday 11am – 8pm including one hour for lunch. Generally days and hours will be fixed, however we may require a degree of flexibility from the candidate and therefore out of hours work may also be required from time to time.

Introducing the Work of the Refugee Therapy Centre

The Refugee Therapy Centre is a small and friendly charity providing psychotherapy and counselling to refugees and asylum seekers in their own languages. Our focus is on helping individuals and families who have suffered to come to terms and move on from their experiences and to enable them to regain control and enjoyment of their lives. Working in 21 languages, we aim to respond sensitively and respectfully to the cultural and linguistic needs of refugees and asylum seekers.

Brief

Description:

The post-holder will provide PA support to the Managing Director/Clinical Director (MD/CD), who has a busy academic and clinical schedule, and when time allows administrative support to the Operational Manager (OM) in all areas of their work. S/he must have very strong communication – written and verbal, organisational and IT skills and the ability to work as part of a small team as well as independently.

Due to the nature of the work an appreciation of confidentiality at all times is essential.
