Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Older People’s Mental Health Team

What you will do:

• Conduct functional assessments for older adults experiencing mental health issues.
• Develop and implement occupational therapy interventions, including leading OT groups.
• Work collaboratively on discharge planning and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prescribe necessary equipment to support patients’ needs.
• Engage with patients and their families to provide comprehensive care and support.
• Work with a compassionate approach, especially tailored for older people with mental health concerns.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist is essential.
• Experience in mental health and older people’s mental health sectors is required.
• Strong track record in functional assessments, intervention planning, and teamwork.
• Must be a car driver to facilitate visits and outreach within the community.
