Job Overview

Applications are invited for a Clinical Nurse Specialist Respiratory – Band 6 nurse to join our multi‑disciplinary, integrated and award‑winning team of respiratory nurses and physiotherapists in the Adult Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation (ARCARE) unit. The role will be based across Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Mile End Hospital, working full‑time. This position is an excellent development opportunity for a Band 6 specialist in respiratory or a Band 5 nurse with respiratory experience wishing to progress to Band 6.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with respiratory teams across sites and provide occasional cross‑site cover.
  • Support an integrated approach to respiratory care across patient pathways, including in‑patient reviews, diagnostic spirometry and follow‑up asthma/COPD clinics.
  • Deliver care in the respiratory virtual ward and home oxygen programmes.
  • Provide primary‑care education, respiratory case‑management and pulmonary rehabilitation services.
  • Participate in an internal rotation programme to enhance respiratory nursing skills.
