We are seeking a practitioner with lived experience and a strong background in psychological or therapeutic services, who can meaningfully contribute to our multidisciplinary team.

  • Contribute to community‑based and trauma‑informed care for children and adolescents through multi‑disciplinary assessments of need, supporting engagement and interventions including group‑based interventions, and consultation and support to young people’s caring networks.
  • Support direct work, which may include joint individual, small group and parent work, and be available to consult to wider professional networks about children and young people and be available to staff for consultation.
  • Contribute to the wider service with co‑production and service‑user participation projects, including parent and young people’s forums, and serve an advisory function to the Lighthouse to support the development of pathways that are child‑centred and informed by lived experience.
  • Participate in audit and contribute to policy and service development and research within the area served by Lighthouse and related services, nationally and internationally.
  • Responsible for joint working, group working and supporting case‑work via contributing a lived experience perspective to engagement and interventions.
  • Ensure that the Lighthouse assessment and intervention pathways and user engagement are informed by lived experience perspectives; embed service‑user participation initiatives; continue to offer and develop the parent course programme; increase reach and impact of the service through awareness and capacity building with wider professionals locally and internationally (e.g., through key contributions to visits, conferences and trainings).

  • A proven track record of co‑delivering interventions.
  • The confidence to use the lived experience to shape and enhance trauma‑informed care.
