Senior Resuscitation Officer (SRO)

The Senior Resuscitation Officer (SRO) will assist the Resuscitation Service Lead with the development, management and evaluation of the Resuscitation Service for Barts Health NHS Trust. To assist / deputise for the Resuscitation Service Lead with the local development and implementation of national policies and guidance, i.e. Resuscitation Council UK, National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE), Care Quality Commission (CQC) across the whole Trust in order to ensure efficient service provision.

To assist / deputise the Resuscitation Service lead on developments and implementation of Trust strategy for resuscitation services which incorporates the following:

  • Education standards and compliance
  • Equipment
  • Business plan – Audit of cardiac arrest and Resuscitation
  • Plan – Serious Incidents and Root Cause Analysis
  • Clinical support
  • Policy development and compliance

The SRO will assist with training needs analysis and training plans, and subsequently is responsible for leading the resuscitation service team within their allocated hospitals/area of responsibility across Barts Health NHS Trust.

To be an integral part of Barts Health NHS Trust senior structure providing strategic leadership on key clinical issues.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Resuscitation Service for a band 6 or 7 depending on experience. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered health care professional who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
