We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Advisor to support the Health & Safety Manager and wider Group H&S function in maintaining a safe, compliant and progressive working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about health and safety who is keen to develop their career — training will be provided.

As Health and safety advisor you will help ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation, guidance and best practice while promoting a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote H&S best practice and encourage continual improvement, including near‑miss reporting
  • Support development and delivery of employee H&S training
  • Assist Health & Safety committees and attend meetings
  • Work with managers on risk assessments, ensuring timely completion in line with procedures
  • Maintain H&S systems including accident reporting and COSHH compliance
  • Support internal audits, identifying improvements to systems and procedures
  • Collect, analyse and report H&S data, identifying trends and recommending actions
  • Assist accident investigations under guidance of the H&S Manager
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks and communicate safety information effectively
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, HR policies, and contractual obligations
  • Positively represent the company to customers and suppliers
  • Contribute fully to performance and development programmes
About You

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic about health and safety who enjoys working collaboratively and driving continuous improvement.

Essential / Preferred
  • IOSH membership desirable
  • NEBOSH qualification (or working towards it)
  • Experience with in manufacturing, engineering, or chemicals environments beneficial
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to interpret H&S legislation and guidance
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Self‑motivated team player
  • Full UK driving licence
