We are partnering with a prestigious, purpose-driven organisation to recruit an exceptional Head of HR. The Opportunity

Reporting to the HR Director, the Head of HR will play a pivotal role in driving a high-performance culture and delivering both operational excellence and strategic HR initiatives.

Leading a team including Senior HR Business Partners, you will oversee the full generalist HR remit, ensuring best-in‑class service delivery, supporting organisational growth, and embedding inclusive, forward‑thinking people practices.

Key Responsibilities Strategic & Leadership
  • Partner with the HR Director to shape and deliver the people strategy

  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

  • Contribute to organisational leadership as part of senior management forums

  • Drive organisational change, transformation, and cultural development initiatives

Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the delivery of all HR operations including business partnering, employee relations, recruitment, payroll, and benefits

  • Ensure HR services are efficient, effective, and aligned to organisational needs

  • Lead on complex employee relations matters and provide expert guidance on employment law

  • Use data, insights, and KPIs to inform decision‑making and improve service delivery

Talent & Culture
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment and talent strategies, including senior hires

  • Champion performance management, engagement, and wellbeing initiatives

  • Embed Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) across all HR activities

  • Support learning and development initiatives to build organisational capability

Governance & Projects
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice

  • Lead key HR projects and contribute to organisational initiatives

  • Support budget planning and resource management within HR

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, including digital and AI‑enabled solutions

About You

We are seeking a confident and credible HR leader with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally.

Experience & Knowledge
  • Significant senior HR leadership experience within a complex organisation

  • Strong generalist HR expertise, including employment law and employee relations

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams

  • Track record of delivering change and transformation initiatives

  • Experience of developing HR policies, processes, and people strategies

  • Commercial awareness with experience of budget management

  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) desirable
