Professional High Performance Coach (Associate)

We are a mission-driven education B Corp. We source and prioritise outstanding graduates and provide them with world-class technical training, and place them as high-performing technology consultants. We exist to create outcomes determined by ambition, effort, and potential, not socio-economic background.

The business is founded on two beliefs:

  • Exceptional talent is missed every day: talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. Common heuristics used to assess graduates - such as the university they attended - mean that outstanding individuals are often overlooked. We rigorously identify this talent while advancing the science of assessment.
  • Exceptional training changes outcomes: Benjamin Bloom's seminal research demonstrated that the right learning methods can improve outcomes by two standard deviations (the "2 Sigma" effect). The most effective learning practices are rarely adopted because institutions are not incentivised to optimise for outcomes. This is the second pillar of our belief system.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This Professional High Performance Coach sits at the heart of the business, working across the full Sigma Labs journey, from applicants, through trainees, to deployed consultants. You will support our hiring, training, transition, and deployment functions as we scale, requiring a highly adaptable individual with a broad and flexible skillset.

The primary focus of the role is resource management: taking full ownership of the end-to-end process of identifying, briefing, and placing trainees into client deployment opportunities. This is a brand-new position that will take significant ownership away from our Product and Sales teams, creating a more structured and consistent approach to interview preparation, trainee readiness, and client outcomes.

Alongside this, you will deliver high performance coaching to deployed consultants, support the assessment of prospective applicants, and contribute to training delivery across our cohorts. For the right individual, this role offers a clear path to Principal Professional High Performance Coach - and we expect our next hire to want to get there.

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES

  • Become the resource manager for the whole company: work between our Sales and Product teams to identify trainees suitable for client deployment opportunities, brief and prepare them, and manage the end-to-end interview process. This will represent roughly 50%+ of your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Own the trainee experience in transition: take ownership of every trainee in our transition pool - effective onboarding, introductory 121s, pastoral support, and organising events to build a community trainees enjoy being part of
  • Consultant support: support deployed consultants through monthly 121s, regular engagement with client managers, and turning feedback into meaningful objectives and development areas
  • Workshop delivery and coaching: over time, and with appropriate training and support, deliver professional high performance workshops and coaching to our trainee cohorts, helping them develop the behaviours and mindset required to succeed in client environments
  • Talent spotting: conduct approximately 3–5 competency interviews per week, helping us identify and progress the best applicants from the thousands who apply to each cohort.
  • Scalability: dedicate time each week to making our processes more efficient - refining workflows, improving documentation, and using AI more effectively.
  • Leaning in: do whatever it takes to help the team achieve our mission, contributing to training programmes, supporting colleagues, and taking ownership where you can have the greatest impact.

REQUIREMENTS

Academic: a strong educational background - the institute matters less than the standards you've set for yourself and the challenges you've overcome.

Professional:

  • 3 years' minimum experience in a delivery-focused organisation (e.g. top-tier management consultancy, top tech company, or other high-performance environment)
  • Prior experience conducting interviews
  • A genuine passion for coaching and supporting junior professionals
  • A strong understanding of business…
