The role

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin and develop their career in Human Resources within a leading global law firm.

As the Human Resources Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support across the full employee lifecycle for the firm's Business Professional teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting employee onboarding and offboarding, including new joiner paperwork, inductions and exit administration.
  • Coordinating background checks and right-to-work verification and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Monitoring the HR inbox, responding to routine employee queries and escalating more complex matters where appropriate.
  • Maintaining HR systems, including ADP, and assisting with data quality checks, headcount tracking and reporting.
  • Supporting the administration of employee benefits, including pension, private medical insurance, life assurance and season ticket loans.
  • Assisting with recruitment administration, including interview scheduling, candidate communications and maintaining candidate records.
What do you need?

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • A genuine interest in developing a career in Human Resources.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and proactive approach.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Good IT skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • At least five GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, alongside A-Levels or equivalent.
