As a Pre‑Sales Solution Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the sales process, acting as the technical authority and trusted advisor for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement & Technical Discovery
  • Engage with customers to understand technical requirements, business challenges, and goals.
  • Conduct technical scoping workshops and presentations to gather detailed information on customer environments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key technical stakeholders within customer organisations.
  • Solution Design & Proposal Development
  • Design and architect networking and security proposals using technologies from Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, and F5.
  • Develop clear and concise customer solution proposals that address client needs and highlight CACI’s value proposition.
  • Collaborate with sales to create compelling technical proposals and presentations.
  • Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) and support Statements of Work (SoWs).
  • Create, manage, and maintain a repository of proposal templates, case studies, and essential documentation.
  • Bid Management & RFP Response
  • Facilitate technical aspects of bid management and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organisational standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure all technical elements are covered in proposals.
  • Maintain vendor relationships to secure timely responses during the bidding process.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors, attending training sessions and certifications to enhance technical expertise.
  • Leverage vendor resources and support for optimal solution design and delivery.
  • Participate in company technical work groups and contribute to new service development.
  • Create technical white papers addressing industry challenges and how CACI and its partners address them.
  • Industry and Market Research
  • Monitor industry trends and advancements in networking and security technologies.
  • Engage with vendors to stay informed about new products and roadmaps.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify differentiation opportunities.
  • Share industry insights and knowledge with internal teams through training and updates.
  • Provide strategic input to shape service offerings and go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Post‑Sales Support & Handover
  • Ensure a smooth transition from pre‑sales to post‑sales through detailed handover documentation.
  • Offer technical guidance during deployment to ensure implementation as designed.
  • Participate in post‑implementation reviews to assess solution performance and identify improvement areas.
Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise
  • 8‑10 years of pre‑sales experience within a VAR, MSP, or PS organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, and F5 technologies.
  • Strong understanding of public‑cloud environments, network automation, and cloud‑based solutions.
  • Proficiency in network design, security principles, and enterprise‑grade solution best practices.
  • High proficiency in creating BoMs, proposal documentation, and technical presentations.
  • Experience responding to RFPs and managing technical bids.
  • Customer‑Focused Approach
  • Ability to engage with customers at all levels, from technical engineers to C‑level executives.
  • Track record of translating customer needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
