Position: Tech Insights Group (TIG) Consultant
Location: City of Westminster

The Tech Insights Group operates within the Expert Client Delivery (ECD) team, a global capability area designed to provide support to clients across Europe and beyond through a single, globally organized team.

TIG enhances our Private Equity Group (PEG) and General Consulting (GC) capabilities by offering specialized technical expertise to support our clients at every stage of the investment lifecycle from deal generation and due diligence to portfolio value creation and exit planning.

WHAT YOU'LL DO Joining Technology Insights Group (TIG) is an exciting opportunity to build a new and critical capability  will work closely with the global Tech leadership and the regional private equity (PE) teams. At Bain, you will leverage your technology and consulting experience in actively contributing to projects, assessing key aspects of leading software companies for PE investors. You will help our clients strategically approach how technology will shape their businesses and solve some of the most challenging issues they face.

Additionally, you will gain direct exposure to CEOs, Executives, and Private Equity professionals. This is a particularly exciting time to join the team - we have ambitious growth plans and you will be contributing to scaling a growing global capability within Bain & Company.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and drive technology due diligence and value creation assignments on behalf of PE investors targeting software businesses.
  • Actively contribute across the entire client engagement, from formulating the project scope to building and presenting the final report.
  • Drive and support the primary and secondary research efforts of the team; collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data across a variety of sources.
  • Conduct hypothesis‑led problem solving, communicate complex ideas, and approach problems strategically.
  • Effectively develop and communicate recommendations and insights to the project team, PE investors, and technology leaders.
  • Help to build and scale a new business, act as thought partner to Tech leadership on our growth and strategy.
  • Enhance Bain's Tech Insights Groups brand through external reputation building and marketing efforts.
  • Invest in special initiatives and projects that help us scale the practice (ops/systems).
