Implementation Consultant - Payroll

Overview

BCG Platinion is a technology consulting practice that helps clients in the public sector deliver digital transformation. We are looking for an IT Consultant with experience in large-scale technology transformation programmes in the UK public sector (NHS, Government, MOD, MOJ, Local or Central Government).

• Deliver technology transformation programmes and evaluate and coach client technology teams.
• Manage quality and risk, maintain client expectations and address escalations.
• Develop projects using agile methods and modern implementation approaches.
• Lead customer‑facing activities around Oracle Cloud HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, Recruiting and Oracle ME.
• Support functional & technical design, testing and data migration.
• Guide junior team members and contribute to the practice area development.
• Work on large‑system implementations across the public sector.

• 3 6 years' experience in delivering technology transformation programmes in the UK public sector.
• Previous consulting experience focused on technology, digital initiatives and large-scale transformations.
• Hands‑on experience in functional and technical implementation, testing, and data migration with Oracle HCM modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management and Recruiting.
• Strong understanding of public sector delivery frameworks, especially NHS or central government.
• Background in technology consulting and client delivery in Agile or hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud/Fusion HCM and related technologies such as Oracle DWH and Oracle ME.
• Willingness to travel within the UK.
• A university degree in Computer Science or a related IT field with above‑average academic performance.
