- We lead and coordinate the migration of data assets from Oracle systems to our cloud data platform.
- We oversee source‑to‑target mapping, data model redesign, and automated migration frameworks.
- We define strategies for retiring legacy ETLs and replacing them with cloud‑native solutions.
- We collaborate with Oracle DBAs, business SMEs, and architects to protect data integrity and continuity.
- We provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to our data engineers.
- We engage with cross‑functional teams across Architecture, Dev Ops, Analytics, Risk, and Finance.
- We translate complex technical decisions into clear business impacts for senior stakeholders.
- We review development outputs to ensure high quality and alignment with our standards.
- We follow change management processes for production deployments and environment updates.
- We maintain documentation and configuration records to meet audit requirements.

We are a tier 1 bank based in London, offering a hybrid working model with three days per week in our Liverpool Street office. This is a 6‑month contract role at a rate of £700 per day inside IR35, with a strong likelihood of extension. We are migrating from an on‑premise Oracle estate to a modern cloud data platform built on Databricks, and this role plays a key part in shaping our data strategy across Finance and Regulatory domains.
You will join our Data Engineering function and work closely with Technology, Architecture, and business teams to deliver high‑quality, reliable data solutions that support analytics, regulatory reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making.
