Specialist Solutions Architect - Analytics, Messaging Services, Data & AI GTM

Role Overview

Act as the primary technical advisor for messaging and event-driven architecture engagements across EMEA customers. Design and validate architectures using Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, Amazon MQ, and related services (Event Bridge, Kinesis) tailored to customer workloads. Guide customers migrating from on-premises message brokers (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, TIBCO) to AWS managed services. Develop reference architectures, patterns, and best practices for pub/sub, point-to-point, fan-out, and event-driven integration scenarios.

Partner with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps based on customer feedback and field observations (PFRs). Create technical content – blog posts, workshops, re:

Invent sessions, and whitepapers – that establishes thought leadership in the messaging space. Collaborate with account teams and other specialists to identify messaging-related opportunities and accelerate customer adoption. Engage with the open-source community and help customers understand when managed services vs. self-hosted solutions best fit their needs. Shape the future of distributed systems by helping customers design resilient, scalable messaging architectures in the cloud.

• Experience with architecture or system engineering.
• Experience conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience as a technical specialist in customer-facing roles.
• Experience designing or operating messaging and event-driven systems in production environments (e.g., RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS/SNS, or similar).
• Experience implementing cloud services including migrations and modernization projects or equivalent.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience with interrupt service routines.
• Hands‑on experience with Amazon MQ, Amazon SNS, Amazon SQS, and AWS Event Bridge.
• Familiarity with messaging protocols (AMQP, MQTT, STOMP, JMS) and their trade-offs.
• Contributions to open-source messaging projects or technical community (blog posts, conference talks, workshops).
