Senior Data Business Analyst

• Significant experience providing high-quality, insightful analysis to drive the business.
• Significant experience working with data across Underwriting, Claims, and Finance within the London Market.
• Experience with SQL and related products.
• Understanding of data structures, including multi-dimensional data models and Kimball methodology, and experience extracting and using data to drive strategic decisions.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.
• Financial services background and experience or knowledge of specialty insurance.

• We will document, develop, and communicate data and MI processes and solutions, working closely with Underwriting, Finance, FP&A, and business teams across the group.
• We will use data and MI to provide proactive analysis that improves data integrity and business performance.
• We will support data-focused projects across the business, including data migrations, systems upgrades, and broader data solutions.
• We will support the existing BAU/KLO product group.
• We will develop knowledge and expertise in modern cloud data warehousing approaches, architectures, and technologies.
• We will work closely with the business to ensure processes are well understood and that associated data and reporting are documented and defined.
• We will analyse data-related requirements and issues, providing options and specifications to support resolution.
• We will identify data and reporting anomalies and provide insightful analysis for management attention.
• We will build strong relationships with the business to develop a deep understanding of our data and data definitions, challenging these where required.
• We will understand the drivers of business performance, identify trends and opportunities, and influence the implementation of initiatives to address them.
• We will help develop effective analytics tools and associated datasets to support commentary and analysis requirements.
• We will carry out other reasonable tasks as required by line management.

This role will help shape and support strategic projects, assist with ownership and management of key areas of our data warehouse, and support existing BAU data needs.
