Overview

Senior Startup Investor Manager within AWS partners with venture capital firms and angel investors, supporting the growth of early‑stage portfolio companies across the UK&I.

• Collaborate with key investors to unlock the potential of portfolio companies on AWS.
• Develop and execute initiatives that align AWS services and programs with startup needs.
• Serve as a technical and business advisor, helping founders optimize their cloud architecture and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to develop and implement programs that accelerate startup growth.
• Translate early ecosystem signals from investors and founders to inform AWS strategy and maintain the brand as the preferred partner for new startups.
• Drive AWS market and technical strategy in the startup ecosystem across the UK&I, focusing on early‑stage companies and seed funds.
• Provide guidance on cloud‑native application development, generative AI, AI/ML, security, and commercial aspects of rapid‑growth technology businesses.

• Experience leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures.
• Proven ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders, including C‑level executives.
• Background in the technology industry with a focus on startups, venture capital, or fund‑management.
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud computing benefits, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Track record of evaluating technical solutions and architectures in a startup context.
• Experience developing and executing strategic business initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or technical‑management field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Advanced degree (MBA or technical) preferred.
• Experience managing high‑performance teams.
• Startup founder/CxO or venture‑investment experience welcome.
• Strong analytical and technical assessment capabilities.
• Ability to understand commercial aspects of fast‑growing technical businesses.
• Comfort across multiple technical domains, including AI/ML, security, etc.
