We are seeking a Fraud Consultant with experience in public sector and/or banking counter-fraud, with expertise in fraud technology, solution design, data and technical delivery. The role supports clients to design and implement proportionate fraud controls across services, platforms and operational processes. The successful candidate will combine fraud expertise and consulting capability with strong technical understanding to improve prevention, detection and response arrangements across programmes and services.
Keyresponsibilities
- Advise clients on fraud technology strategies, solution designs and implementation approaches
- Support design of fraud controls, decisioning approaches and service workflows
- Develop technical requirements, process flows and control specifications
- Shape target architectures, delivery roadmaps and implementation plans
- Support assessment of fraud platforms, products and integration options
- Define data, process and non-functional requirements for secure and scalable services
- Work with architecture, engineering, product and operations teams to support delivery
- Produce assessments, recommendations, design inputs and business cases
- Experience in fraud, financial crime or counter-fraud consulting in government, public sector and/or banking
- Strong understanding of fraud technology, control design and service delivery
- Experience working with fraud platforms, technical solutions or product delivery
- Understanding of fraud risks across digital services, payments, identity and case management
- Ability to develop practical, proportionate technical recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management, writing and consulting skills
- Experience implementing fraud technology solutions, operational workflows and analytical/modelling techniques
- Knowledge of public sector fraud platforms, identity ecosystems or technical control patterns
- Experience supporting product selection, vendor assessment or implementation assurance
- Experience in solution architecture, service design or technical business analysis
- Understanding of data, analytics or orchestration approaches relevant to fraud services
- Experience in the manipulation and summarisation of large datasets for fraud analytics and reporting purposes, through the use of Python, SAS or equivalent analytic platforms
- Structured analysis and evidence-based recommendations
- Ability to translate technical detail into clear client outcomes
- Strong report writing and stakeholder communication
- Ability to shape practical outcomes in ambiguity
- Commercial awareness and support to bids and proposals
