Performance Tester
Contract Length: 3 Months
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer to join a high-profile project focused on a modern web platform. This is a hands‑on contract role where you'll be responsible for defining the performance testing strategy and delivering end‑to‑end performance testing across a microservices‑based environment.
Working closely with engineering, architecture, and QA teams, you'll ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and performs effectively under varying levels of demand.
Key Responsibilities- Define and implement the overall performance testing strategy for a web-based platform.
- Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and capacity tests.
- Create and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter or similar performance testing tools.
- Analyse test results and identify performance bottlenecks across applications and services.
- Work with development and Dev Ops teams to investigate and resolve performance issues.
- Test distributed systems and microservices‑based applications to ensure scalability and resilience.
- Produce clear reports, recommendations, and performance metrics for technical and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of performance testing processes and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Performance Test Engineer, Performance Tester, or similar role.
- Strong experience developing performance testing strategies and frameworks.
- Hands‑on experience testing modern web applications or web platforms.
- Experience working with microservices architectures and API‑based applications.
- Proficiency with JMeter or other performance testing tools such as Load Runner, Gatling, Neo Load, or k6.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical teams.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, App Dynamics, or Prometheus.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
