Trust IT Manager – Dulwich, London

Turn IT on is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Trust IT Manager to support schools within a Trust in Dulwich, London. The role involves managing and securing the school’s ICT network, collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team on IT strategy and project planning, delivering support services, and ensuring effective communication between the school and TIO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the school’s network infrastructure and ICT based applications.
  • Oversee the day‑to‑day workload of IT technicians and support their development.
  • Provide technical advice, training and support to staff to enable effective use of systems.
  • Manage all IT operations, ensuring requests are handled efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain key systems including switches, virtual & physical server environments and backups.
  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support.
  • Enforce and monitor IT policies in line with school guidelines.
  • Deliver training for internal staff on IT systems.
  • Line‑manage ICT support staff, ensuring they provide a high‑quality support service.
Qualifications
  • At least 2–3 years’ experience as an IT Network Manager/IT Manager in a school setting.
  • Excellent understanding of the requirements for working within a school environment.
  • Experience upgrading a school IT network system.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
  • Self‑motivated with problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to service improvement.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Technical Expertise
  • Microsoft Certification – Essential
  • Cisco – Desirable
  • AD, DNS, DHCP, GP, WDS, WSUS – Essential
  • Citrix – Essential
  • SAN Topology – Essential
  • Exchange – Essential
