Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer Central London (Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office) Up to £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We're partnering with one of London's most exciting and rapidly growing fintech companies as they continue to invest in their cloud and Dev Ops capabilities.

They're looking for a Senior Azure Dev Ops Engineer who wants more than just another engineering role. This is an opportunity to influence technical decisions, build highly automated cloud infrastructure, and play a key role in scaling a modern Azure platform.

You’ll join a collaborative engineering team where your ideas are encouraged, ownership is expected, and you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Dev Ops function.

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable Microsoft Azure infrastructure using Terraform with an Infrastructure as Code-first approach
• Manage and optimise Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerised workloads using Azure Container Apps (or similar container platforms)
• Build, manage, and optimise Docker images and containerised application deployments
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops to enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks using Power Shell
• Work closely with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes, developer experience, and platform reliability
• Support and optimise Azure SQL environments, ensuring performance, availability, and security
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to improve platform health and performance
• Champion cloud security, governance, and Dev Ops best practices across the Azure estate
• Be actively involved in architectural decisions and help shape the long-term technical direction of the platform
• Influence technical strategy and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the cloud environment
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the wider technology team

• Proven experience in a Dev Ops, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering role
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Commercial experience managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps
• Strong experience with Docker and containerisation technologies
• Expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong experience building and maintaining Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines
• Solid scripting experience using Power Shell
• Experience supporting or administering Azure SQL (or Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, cloud security, identity, and automation
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across engineering and business teams
• A proactive mindset with a passion for automation, continuous improvement, and cloud technologies
