What you'll be doing Build & Improve Security Operations
- Enhance and optimise AEG's security monitoring, detection and response capabilities.
- Design and maintain detection content, alerts and analytics across the SOC technology stack.
- Act as a senior escalation point for security incidents and complex investigations.
- Work with internal teams and security partners to identify and respond to emerging threats.
- Manage and improve security controls across cloud, endpoint, network and identity platforms.
- Support vulnerability management and strengthen security across AEG's global environments.
- Identify opportunities to automate monitoring, investigations and operational workflows.
- Develop integrations and improvements that increase efficiency and visibility.
- Provide security reporting, dashboards and insights to technical and business stakeholders.
- Support security initiatives, audits, platform upgrades and continuous improvement programmes.
- Strong hands‑on experience in Security Operations and Security Engineering.
- Experience managing SIEM, EDR/XDR and cloud security technologies, ideally within Microsoft environments.
- Understanding of incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management and network security.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Defender and security monitoring platforms.
- Ability to develop scripts, automations or workflows using tools such as Power Shell, Python or KQL.
- Experience using threat intelligence, reporting and metrics to improve security outcomes.
- Able to explain complex technical issues clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Organised, solutions‑focused and comfortable working across multiple priorities in a global environment.
You'll be based at our head office in Blackfriars, a short walk from Southwark tube station and Blackfriars rail station. We offer flexible start and end times and currently work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely. We welcome flexible working conversations.
