Overview

Quantitative Credit Strategist – Associate Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) within Deutsche Bank’s corporate institution. Based on the trading floor in London, this full‑time role supports the European Flow Credit and Emerging Markets businesses by delivering risk, profit & loss, and pre‑trade analytics solutions to bond trading and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and support daily flow analytics, risk, and P&L systems.
  • Collaborate in system architecture and design, ensuring clear understanding of component interactions across the overall system.
  • Engage with the trading desk to discuss problems, gather requirements, and explore potential solutions.
  • Implement flow analysis Management Information Systems (MIS) and reporting (e.g., volumes, market shares, hit rates, client profitability analysis).
  • Develop pre‑trade analytics to support trading decisions, computing trade relative value metrics and strategy back‑testing.
  • Apply modelling expertise to a variety of quantitative problems, such as portfolio optimization, flow matching, and trade prospect ranking.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years front‑office investment banking experience in technical or quantitative roles.
  • Highly proficient in programming with KDB+/Q, Python, C++ or JavaScript, and experience with SDLC tools in a collaborative environment (Git/Bitbucket/JIRA).
  • Advanced Degree (PhD or Masters) in a relevant field such as mathematics, natural sciences, computer science or engineering.
  • Experience working with data – onboarding, cleaning, curating in databases, analysis and presentation.
  • Experience in web development using JavaScript, Python and HTML5, with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate and partner with various teams, and to explain complex concepts effectively.
