When an MSP signs with Assurix, they're buying into a standard, not a piece of software. Getting them from signed to Trustmark takes structure, pace, and someone who actually owns the process.
That's this job. You'll run a portfolio of MSPs through it, and the reason they get there on time is you.
Hybrid: minimum 2 days a week at our Liverpool St office, London. £35,000 to £45,000 plus share options.
WHY WE EXIST
Assurix exists because trust in the MSP industry is broken. SMBs hand their security and continuity to their MSP and have no reliable way of telling the good ones from the weak ones. Policies, promises and annual certificates hide risk rather than expose it.
We're fixing that. Assurix plugs into an MSP's PSA, RMM, Microsoft 365 and security tools and continuously verifies the controls that matter. Live evidence, not a point-in-time audit. The mission is straightforward: raise the bar across the MSP industry, help good providers win, and make it easier for SMBs to find partners they can trust. If we get this right, fewer businesses fail because of invisible operational and cyber risk.
It's early, and it's working. 87 MSPs have signed up to the standard. The first Trustmarks are live. Major cyber insurers are partnering with us, and UK regulation is moving in our direction. The next couple of years decide whether this becomes the standard the industry runs on.
THE SHAPE OF THE JOB
Portfolio. Up to around 40 Members in total. Some are on weekly calls, others fortnightly, depending where they are in their journey. So your week is a mix: a core you're driving hard, plus a wider group you're keeping an eye on.
The calls. Kickoff, Platform Access, Getting Started, then recurring Check-Ins, all of them unsupervised. Getting Started means sharing your screen and helping a Member connect their tooling while they watch.
Between the calls, you're project managing. Every Member has tasks outstanding, a phase, and a date. You hold all of it: what's overdue, who owes what, what's slipped, what needs a nudge today rather than next Thursday.
You review what Members submit. Not to pass or fail it, which is the assessor's job, but to work out whether they've understood what the control is asking for, and to coach them if they haven't. Someone sends a screenshot of a successful backup job when the control wants evidence of a tested restore: they've done work, but answered a different question.
Spotting that and explaining it well is a lot of the value you add.
And you answer questions about the standard: what a control needs, what counts as evidence. To be clear on the boundary, you are not the assessor. You don't make the final call on whether a control passes, and there's a documented line for what's yours and what gets handed over. You will occasionally spot data in the platform that can't be true.
You don't have to fix it, but you do need to notice rather than repeat it back as fact.
You'll keep Hub Spot, Notion and Arrows reflecting reality, hold Members to timelines firmly without escalation, and spot stalls before they become problems.
And here's the part that makes it worth doing. The MSPs you work with genuinely get better. Controls that were assumed get tested. Gaps nobody had looked at get closed. You'll take a Member from vaguely confident to demonstrably secure, and the hundreds of SMBs sitting behind them are safer for it. That happens because you didn't let them drift.
This is a 12 person company, so the boundaries aren't rigid. As you earn trust you'll get pulled into events, partner coordination, content and ops.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
This role involves cyber security and IT. You'll be talking to MSPs about their security controls, so you need to be genuinely comfortable in that world. You don't need to be an engineer and you won't be writing code, and we'll teach you the framework. But if technology isn't your thing, this isn't the role for you.
• Organised and methodical. You close loops without being asked
• Able to hold a lot of parallel journeys at once and spot which one is quietly drifting this week
• Clear and calm in writing and on calls
• Able to build rapport quickly and genuinely
•…
