Financial Services Firm is hiring for an experienced Application Dev Ops Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting critical technology platforms.
This is a hands‑on role focused on Python automation, production stability, application resilience and continuous improvement within a complex, high-volume technology environment. You will work across application, infrastructure and engineering teams to improve the reliability, scalability and operational performance of business‑critical platforms.
- Develop Python-based automation and tooling to improve operational efficiency.
- Support and enhance critical production applications and services.
- Drive improvements across resilience, availability, performance and capacity.
- Manage deployments, releases, production readiness and failover activities.
- Implement monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure and batch‑processing issues.
- Identify root causes and deliver sustainable technical solutions.
- Contribute to CI/CD, automation and wider Dev Ops and engineering best practices.
- Strong Python development skills, particularly for automation & operational tooling.
- Experience in Dev Ops, Production Engineering, Platform Engineering or SRE.
- Experience supporting business‑critical, high‑availability applications.
- Good understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and software development life cycles.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover and capacity management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across applications and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive approach with strong ownership and problem‑solving capability.
- Financial Services, Capital Markets or Trading Technology experience.
- Exposure to risk, trading or regulatory technology.
- Cloud, containers and modern Dev Ops tooling.
- Large‑scale distributed or high‑performance computing environments.
