QA Tester

6 Month contract initially + Extensions

Based:
Hybrid - Max 2 days p/w onsite. Flexible on location:
Newcastle, London, Leeds, Manchester, Blackpool or Sheffield

Rate: £300 - £350 p/d - (via Umbrella company)

We have a great opportunity with a world leading organisation where you will be provided with all of the support and development to succeed. A progressive organisation where you can really make a difference. We have a great opportunity for a number of QA Tester's to join the team.

• Validate Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or other BI reports against business requirements.
• Verify dashboard KPIs, charts, measures, filters, and drill-through functionality.
• Ensure consistency of data across source systems, data warehouse, and reports.
• Perform report reconciliation and data accuracy checks.
• Validate ETL processes and data transformations.
• Verify data movement from source systems to reporting layers.
• Execute database and SQL-based validation tests.
• Identify data quality issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Create test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
• Record and track defects through to resolution.
• Support production deployments and post-release validation.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners.
• Understand reporting requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
• Support business users during UAT and provide testing evidence.
• Maintain test evidence, test reports, defect logs, and traceability matrices.
• Produce release sign-off documentation.
• Ensure compliance with testing and governance standards.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take a minimum 10 weeks.
