About the Role
As a Product Manager (AVP) on the AI Platform team, you will own core enterprise AI platform capabilities that make the platform secure, scalable, and extensible. You'll focus on the governance, administration, security, and enablement features that internal teams require to build and run AI agents and workloads at scale — spanning our LLM Gateway, MCP Gateway, agent runtime, and model governance controls.
This role requires strong technical judgment, a deep understanding of enterprise deployment patterns, and the ability to translate complex platform requirements into elegant, self-service product experiences for builders across the firm.
- Own the roadmap for core platform capabilities including the LLM and tool (MCP) gateways, web search access, audit logging, access controls, and integration of approved AWS and Azure AI services.
- Develop and maintain the builder experience end to end — onboarding new agent and workload builders, managing existing workloads, and enforcing platform policies.
- Build features that give leadership and security teams visibility into and control over AI platform usage, including cost attribution, chargeback, and usage governance.
- Partner with engineering to deliver scalable, secure architecture that meets Blackstone's enterprise and regulatory requirements.
- Define APIs and integration points that enable agent workflows, tool access, and system connectivity across Copilot, AWS Bedrock, and embedded applications.
- Work closely with Platform Engineering, SRE, Security, and Data teams to understand cross-platform pain points and translate them into prioritized product requirements.
- Build relationships with product managers across business-unit-facing technology teams to understand their needs and validate solutions.
- Stay current on the competitive landscape and enterprise AI market trends, and bring an informed point of view on build-versus-buy decisions.
- 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on enterprise or platform software.
- Track record of shipping enterprise platform features that drive adoption in security-conscious, regulated organizations.
- Strong understanding of enterprise platform concepts such as authentication/authorization, access controls, auditability, and multi-tenant governance.
- Experience taking a product from 0 to 1, from problem definition through launch and iteration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and business stakeholders and influence without authority.
- Experience with cloud computing, infrastructure, and AI/ML products or platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, model gateways, agent frameworks).
- Technical background or a history of working closely with platform and infrastructure engineering teams.
- Structured thinking and the ability to break down complex technical requirements into shippable, well-scoped platform features.
