Software Asset & Licensing Manager - Fully Remote
Up to £42,000
Our client, a leading UK charity, is looking for an experienced Software Asset & Licensing Manager to take ownership of their software estate, licensing strategy and software lifecycle management.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in Software Asset Management (SAM), Software Licensing, IT Asset Management or IT Service Management who wants to take real ownership of a large and complex software environment.
What you'll be doing:- Managing the full software lifecycle, from licensing and procurement through to renewal and retirement
- Developing and managing the software licensing strategy
- Identifying opportunities to reduce costs through licence optimisation and software rationalisation
- Managing software vendors, contracts and renewals
- Maintaining the organisation's Definitive Software Library
- Ensuring software remains secure, supported and appropriately patched
- Managing end-of-life software and associated risks
- Improving processes and automation around software asset management and compliance
- Working closely with Technology, Security, Procurement and wider business stakeholders
- Strong experience in Software Asset Management, Software Licensing or IT Service Management
- Experience managing software licences and end-to-end software life cycles
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Experience identifying cost-saving and optimisation opportunities
- Good understanding of software compliance, vulnerabilities and end-of-life management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within an ITIL environment
