This role is pivotal in placing and managing U.S. casualty risks into Lloyd's and the broader London market, working in close partnership with U.S. retail and wholesale brokers. The successful individual will bring strong technical capability, established market relationships, and an entrepreneurial mindset to support a growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality market submissions with technical accuracy and commercial clarity.

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and coverage to deliver optimal outcomes for clients and partners.

  • Manage renewals, endorsements, and new business opportunities across the U.S. casualty portfolio.

  • Ensure full compliance with Lloyd's, FCA, and internal governance requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, claims, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution and service delivery.

  • Contribute to portfolio development, market insight, and broader business planning initiatives.

Experience required

  • Established relationships with Lloyd's and/or London market casualty underwriters.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. casualty wordings, programme structures, and regulatory considerations.

  • Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Collaborative in approach and aligned with company values of integrity, accountability, and long-term partnership.

  • Play a leading role in shaping and scaling a growing U.S. casualty platform from London.

  • Work alongside experienced leadership and established U.S. distribution partners.

  • Join a firm committed to culture, quality, and sustainable growth over short-term volume.
