Global Head of Underwriting - MGA

Edenbrook are working with a Rapidly Growing MGA seeking a Global Head of Underwriting. Reporting to the CUO, this newly created role is overseeing the development of new products and development of new relationships across the US and Europe.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and launch of new insurance products across North America and Europe.
• Define and execute the global underwriting strategy aligned with the business growth plan.
• Work closely with the CUO and executive leadership to identify new market opportunities, niches, and distribution strategies.
• Establish and manage carrier and capacity relationships internationally.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing underwriting team across multiple territories.
• Ensure strong underwriting governance, pricing discipline, and portfolio performance.
• Collaborate with actuarial, distribution, and data teams to drive innovation in product design and underwriting approach.

Key Requirements

• Proven senior underwriting leadership experience within an MGA, insurer, or Lloyd’s market business.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching new insurance products in Commercial Lines.
• Experience managing capacity partnerships and international underwriting portfolios.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable products.
