Legal Counsel, Lawyer, Litigation, Employment Law
This is a chance to take on a challenging and fulfilling caseload where your expertise truly matters. You'll run intermediate-track accident claims for clients who've suffered serious injuries in employer's liability, occupier's liability, and RTA cases. You'll also occasionally step into complex territory, including product liability, sports injuries, and animal-related claims, with matters valued up to £1m. You will manage cases end-to-end—from first client interview to trial—using your sharp understanding of litigation strategy, costs, and the technical nuances of intermediate and occasional multi-track work.
Your work will directly improve the lives of injured people and drive accountability. You need to sign in or create an account to save a job.
You’re a qualified lawyer with 2+ years’ PQE and a solid track record running intermediate or multi-track files from start to finish. You can prioritise a demanding workload with ease, draft clear and compelling arguments, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. You thrive in a collaborative team and enjoy contributing to marketing and business development. Above all, you pair strong technical ability with outstanding communication and client care, and you take pride in delivering an exceptional legal service.
Thompsons Solicitors was first established in 1921 by founder and leading civil rights lawyer, W. H. Thompson. Driven by a vision to protect and deliver justice for working people, his aspiration led Thompsons Solicitors to establish itself as the most experienced personal injury law firm in the UK. For over 90 years, Thompsons Solicitors has helped injured people to secure hundreds of millions of pounds in compensation.
Our team of committed personal injury specialists have decades of experience running, and winning, personal injury claims, workplace accident claims, road crash claims, medical negligence claims, industrial disease claims and asbestos claims. Thompsons Solicitors is fully regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and our personal injury and medical negligence lawyers are accredited by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), and Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA).
Our team's empathy and legal skill are regularly recognised by leading legal industry guides, including Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500, and we retain high levels of client satisfaction. Providing an exceptional legal service to clients during the exceptional circumstances which follow a personal injury or medical accident, an accident at work or industrial disease diagnosis is Thompsons Solicitors' top priority.
This includes highly‑trained and friendly teams who invest their specialist expertise into every claim, as well as close links with leading charities and support groups who help families to access additional support and services. Unlike other personal injury law firms, Thompsons Solicitors is 100 per cent committed to claimant‑only work: that means that we only ever represent the injured or mistreated person, and never the people, organisations or insurance companies liable for paying out for those injuries.
You can learn more about this unique commitment and the benefits it holds for our clients by reading Our Pledge. Minimising any stress and ensuring there is no financial risk to clients of making a personal injury claim is an important element of our service. Thompsons Solicitors prides itself on securing the maximum amount of personal injury compensation in the shortest possible time;
keeping our clients fully informed about every stage of their case, and being open and transparent about how much personal injury compensation clients are likely to secure – putting you in control of your case.
