Head of Logistics & Logistics Procurement
Location: Central London | 3 days per week onsite
Reporting to: Supply Chain Director
Salary: up to £80,000 base salary + Bonus + Benefits
The Opportunity
A senior logistics leadership role focused on owning logistics procurement, supplier management and network performance across warehousing and transport. This role is roughly 70% commercial and procurement-focused and 30% operational leadership, ensuring the business has the right logistics partners, service levels and cost structure to support continued growth.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead all logistics procurement activity across transport, warehousing and freight services.
- Negotiate rates, contracts and SLAs with logistics providers.
- Manage key 3PL, warehousing and transport partnerships.
- Run logistics tenders and supplier selection processes.
- Identify cost-saving and network optimisation opportunities.
- Own logistics budgets, cost-to-serve reporting and performance metrics.
- Ensure logistics partners consistently achieve service and operational targets.
- Oversee warehouse, inventory and distribution performance.
- Lead logistics improvement, transformation and network design projects.
- Manage logistics compliance, customs processes and supply chain risk.
- Lead and develop the Warehouse Manager and Inventory function.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years' experience within logistics, supply chain or procurement.
- Strong experience procuring warehouse, transport and logistics services.
- Proven commercial negotiation and supplier management capability.
- Experience managing 3PL and warehousing providers.
- Strong understanding of logistics networks and supply chain optimisation.
- Experience delivering cost savings and operational improvements.
- Leadership experience with direct management responsibility.
- Strong financial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Desirable
- Food, FMCG or temperature-controlled logistics experience.
- Experience with imports, customs and international freight.
- Knowledge of BRC, HACCP or similar compliance standards.
- Experience leading logistics transformation projects.
