Our client is looking for Meter Readers across Huddersfield. This is a fantastic role for someone self-motivated to work independently.

There will be an occasional need to walk longer distances as not all customers live in built-up areas, but you’ll get great exercise!

• Collect data from gas, electric and water meters using a hand-held electronic device and other equipment to ensure customers receive accurate and up-to-date bills.
• Plan routes and manage your schedule and workload to achieve targets set for the week by your field delivery manager.
• Represent the company professionally as you interact with customers.

• Full-time, flexible basis between 8am – 8pm, Monday–Sunday, 30 hours per week.
• Opportunity to acquire a company car.

• Approachable, presentable, and polite; acts as an ambassador for the company.
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role.
• Ability to plan and manage workload independently, working towards targets.
• Report any dangerous meter installations or suspected signs of tampering.
• Self-motivated and energetic and enjoy working outdoors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
• Flexible approach to tasks and working.
• Friendly personality with a professional approach to work.
• Pass screening and vetting standards and pass a DBS check.
• Full training is provided, so experience is not necessary.
