Compliance Operative

Location: University of Greenwich, Medway Campus, Central Avenue, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4TB

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07.00 - 15.30

Total Hours Per Week: 40

Salary: £13.45ph + excellent benefits

• Carrying out planned compliance checks including water temperature monitoring and system flushing (ACOP L8)
• Completing PPM tasks and responding to reactive maintenance requests
• Maintaining accurate physical and electronic logbooks
• Supporting statutory compliance across building services
• Liaising with contractors and supporting audits
• Undertaking minor repairs and general handyman tasks when required
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in line with H&S regulations
• Supporting KPIs and SLAs through timely, high‑quality service delivery

• Experience in facilities maintenance, compliance, or building services
• Knowledge of water hygiene / ACOP L8 compliance (desirable but highly beneficial)
• Experience completing logbooks and compliance documentation
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude
• Flexible approach, with occasional out‑of‑hours support if required
