Electrical Shift Leader – £56,000 – Fenchurch Street

Continental Shift Pattern (12-Hour Shifts)

Are you an experienced Shift Leader looking for your next move? Or an established Shift Technician ready to step up into a leadership role? If so, this opportunity could be ideal for you.

We are currently recruiting for an exciting position with a reputable and well-established Facilities Management provider based in Fenchurch Street. Working on a large Banking Environment, you will lead a team of engineers and be responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance services across the site.

The successful candidate will be electrically biased, with strong experience in commercial building maintenance and a proactive, hands‑on approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed across site assets using the PPM system.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records relating to Health & Safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure all works meet contractual and site requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve plant faults efficiently to maintain operational performance.
  • Complete comprehensive maintenance documentation and job reports.
  • Prepare and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements to promote safe working practices.
  • Lead, manage, and support the shift engineering team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the client.
  • Allocate and monitor workloads to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and within required time frames.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for engineers.
  • Identify training requirements and implement development plans to ensure ongoing competence and compliance.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds Electrical Qualification (Level 2 &
    3)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Proven background in commercial building maintenance
  • Strong technical knowledge of UPS systems, generators, power distribution, HVAC, and HV/LV systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
