About the Role
Schools across Westminster are looking for reliable, proactive Caretakers to support with daily supply cover over the coming weeks.
This is a brilliant opportunity for practical, hands‑on individuals who take pride in keeping environments safe, clean and running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in making sure pupils and staff walk into a school that feels secure, organised and well cared for every single day.
No two days are the same, and that’s exactly what makes this role so rewarding.
What You’ll Be Doing- Opening and closing school premises
- Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
- Ensuring buildings and grounds are clean, safe and well maintained
- Completing regular health and safety checks
- Setting up rooms for lessons, assemblies and events
- Monitoring site security and reporting issues promptly
You’ll be the go‑to person on site, calm, capable and ready to solve problems as they arise.
What We’re Looking For- Previous caretaker, site assistant or maintenance experience preferred
- Strong practical and problem‑solving skills
- Reliable, punctual and confident working independently
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
