Cleaning Operations Team Leader

About the Role

Our Cleaning Operations team is looking for a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to support the cleaning operations in our busy store. You will work alongside your team, with a safety‑first mindset, to maintain a first‑class environment of the store and associated buildings, ensuring a superior experience for customers and colleagues. Shift working hours are 6am to 2:30pm, working five days over seven, including one weekend day every two weeks.

• Work closely with store management to align cleaning activities with store operations and customer experience goals.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure all areas—shop floors, fitting rooms, restrooms, and staff areas—are cleaned as required.
• Address cleaning‑related issues promptly and report maintenance concerns to management.
• Run daily team briefings to assign duties, monitor completion, and conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
• Train and support new and existing team members on cleaning protocols, health & safety, and store‑specific requirements.
• Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to colleagues to maintain standards consistently.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Handle stock control of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.

We are looking for a strong leader with previous experience as a cleaning supervisor or team leader, ideally in a retail or commercial environment.

• Good knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, health & safety regulations, and the ability to work independently.
• Initiative to resolve issues and flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required.
