Coffee Field Service Engineer
Location: London (flexibility to exact location in/around London)
Employment Type: Full-time, 7am-4pm Monday-Friday, 1 weekend in 4 (overtime paid)
Salary: Up to £40,900 pa (£36,000 + c £4,900 pa for 1 in 4 weekends) + vehicle + pension + other benefits
Responsibilities- Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks from fault finding to diagnosis, ensuring all equipment is left in a good working order.
- Ensure all work meets the correct equipment set up as per agreed specification, providing consistent coffee quality for first‑time fix and customer satisfaction.
- Work proactively with the central call centre, taking day‑to‑day instructions, keeping them updated and informing waiting customers.
- Comply with all on‑site arrival procedures, contacting the manager/supervisor on site to introduce yourself and seek permission to commence work.
- Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, undertaking risk assessments and bringing any risks to the attention of company management.
- Complete all necessary online job sheets, timesheets and supporting documentation, ensuring they are reviewed and completed prior to leaving premises to validate client satisfaction.
- Keep all tools, equipment and vehicles supplied by the company in good working order, reporting any faults, breakages or failures to the line manager daily.
- Provide agreed spare parts stock via handheld unit, ensuring parts are invoiced to the customer, deducted from stock and replenished to maintain vehicle inventory.
- Highly motivated, well‑presented individual with technical ability and an excellent understanding of equipment, coffee quality, quality standards and procedures.
- Mechanical experience and knowledge required, plus a full UK driving licence.
- Confident individual with a passion for customer service.
- Excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with an electrical/mechanical background.
- Computer literate with a clean driving licence.
- Self‑motivated with a flexible approach to work, location and hours; must be able to work 1 in 4 weekends.
