Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for an Electrical Shift Leader to join a facilities management team at a site in Kings Cross, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is confident leading a small on-site engineering team.

Working as part of a dedicated two-person shift team, alongside a Shift Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the building’s electrical and mechanical services.

The Role

As Electrical Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day engineering operations, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring all building services are maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and support the on-shift engineering team, including the Shift Technician.

* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site systems.

* Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, minimising downtime and disruption.

* Ensure all electrical systems and building services operate safely and efficiently.

* Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.

* Complete maintenance records, shift logs and handover reports accurately.

* Respond to building emergencies and technical issues as required.

* Liaise with contractors, site management and other stakeholders.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

* A recognised electrical qualification, ideally NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

* Experience in a commercial building services or facilities management environment.

* Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

* Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.

* The ability to lead a small team and work independently.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving, safety and compliance.

* Good communication, organisational and handover skills.

Salary, Shift Pattern & Benefits

* Salary:
Up to £52,000 per annum.

* Location:

Kings Cross, London.

* Shift Pattern:
Continental shifts, working 12-hour days and nights, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am, on a 4-on, 3-off, 6-on rotation.
