Principal Consultant - Senior Legal BD, Marketing & Communications Recruitment

I'm currently hiring for an experienced Pitch Manager to join the Business Development function of a prestigious, globally recognised law firm. As part of an established and collaborative Pitch Team, you will work closely with partners, senior lawyers and Business Services colleagues to shape, coordinate and deliver strategic pitches that support the firm's growth and reinforce its market‑leading reputation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines operational rigour with creative thinking, and who enjoys influencing at a senior level.

In this role, you will take ownership of the full pitch lifecycle - from assessing and qualifying opportunities through to drafting persuasive submissions, preparing partners for presentations, and driving continuous improvement. You will play an integral part in articulating the firm's strengths, developing clear win themes and ensuring pitch delivery is first‑class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, project manage and deliver multiple panel and transactional pitches at any one time
  • Conduct opportunity analysis and support partners in defining strategy and messaging
  • Draft clear, concise and persuasive pitch documents and presentations
  • Coordinate contributions from legal and Business Services teams
  • Prepare partners for pitch meetings and rehearsals
  • Capture and analyse pitch feedback, producing actionable recommendations
  • Maintain and improve pitch materials, templates and content libraries
  • Support the development of junior team members and contribute to wider BD initiatives

  • Proven experience of managing pitches within legal or professional services
  • Strong commercial awareness and confidence when engaging with senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to challenge and advise
  • A proactive, inquisitive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
