  • Act as a senior point of contact during reputational issues or operational incidents, providing on‑site leadership and on‑call availability during critical periods
  • Oversee and coordinate real‑time response efforts across internal teams, event operations and external agencies, ensuring accurate and consistent messaging
  • Advise senior executives and spokespersons on sensitive media handling, including scenario planning and rehearsals
  • Partner closely with event operations teams to identify and mitigate potential communications risks before they escalate
Collaboration & Best Practice
  • Contribute to the development of best‑practice processes and resources across the communications function, working in close collaboration with the senior team and peers

  • 8–10 years’ experience in corporate communications with a strong emphasis on crisis management and live event environments
  • Demonstrable track record managing high‑stakes, high‑pressure situations with calm and authority
  • Experience in both strategic oversight and on‑ground communications delivery during major events
  • Strong experience managing external agencies and ensuring outputs meet organisational objectives and brand standards
  • Proven ability to build relationships with national and international media, and handle sensitive or hostile enquiries
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences and situations
  • Highly organised, with strong judgement and ability to prioritise in fast‑moving, complex environments
