We're currently looking for a skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our Technical Services team based at the Greenwich Campus, University of Greenwich. In this role, you'll be leading the on‑site residential M&E team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance, and playing a hands‑on part in both planned and reactive maintenance.
What you’ll do:- Lead and supervise a team of on‑site engineers, supporting performance, training, and development
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems
- Coordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requests
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work procedures
- Carry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentation
- Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checks

What you bring:- HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
- Extensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical or similar
- Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines, LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similar
- Experience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environments
- Excellent communications both written and verbal
- Numerate and computer literate
- Previous experience of managing a team of engineers
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
- Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
- Membership of Institute of Leadership and Management
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Emergency first aid qualification
- IOSH Managing Safety
- Level 3 award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations
- Level 3 award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations

. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £46,000pa - £47,000pa + Excellent benefits package.
26 days annual leave excluding Public Holidays. Recognised Level 3 trade qualification essential.
