Reinsurance Finance Manager

A global Insurer and Reinsurer operating in the Lloyd’s market has exclusively partnered with us to support the hire of a Ceded Reinsurance Finance Manager to join their internationally based Reinsurance Accounting function.

• Manage the preparation and review of quarterly ceded reinsurance underwriting results, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis across GAAP, Statutory, Lloyd’s, and management reporting frameworks.
• Oversee the month‑end and quarter‑end close process including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Direct the accounting and administration of ceded reinsurance transactions.
• Lead a team of two accounting professionals, overseeing work allocation, reviewing deliverables, and providing guidance, support and coaching where necessary.
• Further strengthen the financial controls framework and lead projects to improve processes, streamline reporting and promote efficiency.

• Possess demonstrable technical experience in reinsurance accounting, ideally within a Lloyd’s Syndicate environment.
• Experienced in preparing and reporting financial results under GAAP.
• Ideally have previously mentored, supervised or managed individuals and supported them during a periodic close process.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills as this role will work with a number of key stakeholders.
• Proficient with MS Office and, in particular, Excel.

• Salary on offer ranges between £70,000 – £95,000 (depending on experience).
