Technical Director - Mechanical (Building Services)
Job Description

This role offers an opportunity to lead the Mechanical team in London, driving project and business development, managing budgets and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, lead, and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Building Services team.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and develop the brand within the South Region.
  • Consistently meet monthly and annual budgets at a team level and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with regional and senior leadership to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Share knowledge and technical expertise with colleagues throughout the global business.
  • Ensure profitable and sustainable work‑winning and maintain up‑to‑date forecasting.
  • Oversee team performance including pipeline, finance, and operational management.
  • Act as primary client contact, building relationships with developers, contractors and architects.
  • Identify and secure new commissions while maintaining client care.
Qualifications
  • Experience in business development and managing large MEP teams.
  • Proven track record as Technical Director, Director or experienced Associate Director within an engineering consultancy.
  • Strong leadership, efficiency ownership and growth drive.
  • Solid experience in mechanical, electrical and sustainable building design from concept to technical stages.
  • Chartered status through CIBSE/IET/IMechE Engineering Council or willingness to pursue.
  • Ability to obtain UK vetting level Security Check (SC).
