Position Overview
School Business Manager – Nursery School, Lambeth. Starting September (ideally able to hand over this side of summer holidays). Term time only, one week in April.
Responsibilities- Management of key support staff.
- Oversight of a large financial budget.
- Human resources duties.
- Monitoring and reporting to Headteacher, Governors and Local Authority.
- Premises, health & safety, IT and catering provision to ensure the school delivers its vision and supports its development.
- Previous experience as a School Business Manager.
- Held CSBM or DSBM qualification.
- Experience leading, coaching and motivating staff, ensuring professional development and effectively challenging and managing underperformance.
- Technical expertise in managing and co‑ordinating the educational, administrative and financial affairs of a school.
- High level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Strong IT, systems, administrative and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritising to meet deadlines.
- Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real situations.
Term time only, 1 week in April. Starting September.
