Location: City Of London

We are seeking an experienced Relocation Project Manager to lead a high-profile property transformation programme for a prestigious London-based organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to manage the end-to-end relocation of a corporate headquarters, overseeing the sale of the organisation's existing premises while identifying, evaluating and supporting the acquisition of a new office of approximately 50,000 sq ft
. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Working closely with senior leadership, external property consultants and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering the relocation programme from initial strategy through to occupation of the new premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall relocation programme, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales, budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan covering all stages of the relocation.
  • Coordinate the disposal and sale of the current headquarters, working alongside commercial property agents, solicitors and other professional advisers.
  • Support the search, evaluation and acquisition of a new office building of approximately 50,000 sq ft.
  • Manage feasibility studies, building assessments and due diligence activities.
  • Coordinate negotiations with landlords, vendors, surveyors and legal representatives.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders throughout the programme.
  • Manage project budgets, procurement activities and financial reporting.
  • Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks, ensuring effective governance and reporting.
  • Coordinate architects, designers, workplace consultants, contractors and fit-out partners.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive move strategy, ensuring business continuity throughout the transition.
  • Manage workplace planning, furniture requirements, IT migration and operational readiness.
  • Lead communications and engagement activities with employees to support organisational change.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Produce regular progress reports and presentations for executive leadership and project boards.
About You

You will be an experienced project professional with a successful track record of delivering large-scale office relocations, property acquisitions or corporate estate transformation programmes.

You will possess excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident operating at executive level while coordinating multiple suppliers and work streams.

  • Proven experience managing major office relocation or corporate property projects.
  • Experience supporting the acquisition, disposal or redevelopment of commercial property.
  • Strong understanding of commercial property transactions and relocation programmes.
  • Experience managing complex project budgets and multiple external suppliers.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and programme management skills.
  • Strong risk management and governance experience.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience working with architects, surveyors, legal advisers, contractors and workplace consultants.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on project delivery.
  • Experience delivering office fit‑out or workplace transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of commercial property acquisition and disposal processes.
  • Experience with in the not‑for‑profit, membership, professional services or corporate sectors.
