Purpose & Scope of the Role

Tetra Tech is a leading technical, engineering and environmental consultancy, delivering data-driven solutions across water, environment, infrastructure, energy and international development. This Graduate Project Controls role sits within our expanding Project Controls Team and wider Project and Cost Management business unit, supporting high-performing teams delivering complex projects across public and private sectors.

Impact in this position

You’ll support multiple projects for high-profile clients through the full project lifecycle, helping to control budgets, schedules, risks and reporting. Working closely with clients, stakeholders and colleagues across UK disciplines, you’ll contribute to successful project delivery and strong internal governance.

5 Core Capabilities
  • Project Delivery Support – Assist with delivery on projects valued at £5m-£100m across public and private sectors.
  • Budget, Cost & Schedule Control – Help manage project budgets, costs and programmes effectively.
  • Risk & Change Management – Support project risk management and implement change control processes.
  • Reporting & Information Management – Produce performance reporting and support project information management.
  • Tender & Governance Support – Assist with tender and contract documents, scope management and internal governance.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Facilitate progress meetings and build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and delivery teams.
Training, Qualifications & Experience

You’ll need a relevant 2:1 degree, strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ideally experience with Microsoft Teams and Project. Excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, professionalism and a collaborative approach are essential. A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and eligibility for Government Security Clearance are required.

Working Environment

Based in London, with hybrid working supported in line with team and project needs. As a graduate role, there will be an expectation to spend more time in the office initially to support learning, collaboration and development. Some travel may also be required.
