Product Integrity & Compliance Manager | £45,000 - £50,000 | Central London | Hybrid Working | International Retailer

This is not your average technical role.

We're talking luxury children's product on a global stage. Designed by one of the most recognisable, innovative retailers in the world. A business turning over close to £400m, setting trends, raising standards, and being copied everywhere for a reason.

Behind every beautiful product is rigorous attention to detail, uncompromising safety standards, and exceptional craftsmanship and that's where you come in.

This role sits right at the heart of product creation, making sure every toy is not only stunning, but safe, compliant, and built to last. From first concept through to production and beyond, you'll help ensure our collections meet the highest standards across UK, EU, US and global markets.

You’ll work closely with design, sourcing, manufacturing partners and external testing houses, playing a vital role in bringing world‑class products to life.

Responsibilities
  • Making sure every product meets international toy safety standards including EN71, ASTM F963, CPSIA, ISO and other global regulations
  • Coordinating and supporting product testing, reviewing reports and resolving any issues along the way
  • Ensuring accurate labelling, age grading and traceability across all ranges
  • Staying on top of changes in global legislation (so nothing ever slips through the cracks)
  • Creating and maintaining clear product specifications, BOMs and technical packs
  • Partnering with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver consistent quality at every stage
  • Reviewing and approving materials, components and finishes - balancing safety, durability and luxury feel
  • Troubleshooting quality issues, identifying root causes and putting long‑term fixes in place
  • Championing ethical sourcing and responsible manufacturing
  • Working closely with designers to ensure materials, trims, colours and construction live up to premium brand standards
  • Keeping development timelines on track and critical paths moving
Qualifications
  • You’ve worked in product development, product integrity, technical or quality roles within soft toys, toys, baby or children’s products
  • You have a strong working knowledge of toy safety and compliance across the UK, EU, US and ideally Rest of World
  • You’re naturally detail-driven, organised and comfortable juggling multiple products and deadlines
  • You care just as much about how a product is made as how it looks
  • You’re confident working cross‑functionally and communicating clearly with suppliers and stakeholders
  • You’re comfortable with Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems is a bonus

This is a business that leads, not follows. A true innovator in its space, with a global footprint, premium positioning and an uncompromising approach to quality.
